118 The Power Within

 118 The Power Within

I now realize the Presence of our Father within each atom, cell, system and organ. My individual created self is a one-of-a-kind Divine Design. For this awakening I choose to focus on the carbon atom, a tiny part of my individual expression of life. The carbon atom is part of every living being, from the least complex to the most complex. I am so grateful that I have an Invisible Means of Support within me, 24/7 doing the works. I have experienced everyday miracles as a way of life, I pray that will continue. I would like to share a few of these with you. I had just finished writing my Six Loves Workshop (You may download free the Six Loves – Al Kohallek Goes On A Love Feast @ from our website 12stepworkbook.org). I wanted to come up with a good metaphor for the Six Loves. Once again, I realized I have been on a serendipity journey much of my life, finding far more than I went searching for. I was returning from a silent retreat, a little prayer and meditation time. I decided to stop off at the McDonald Observatory for a little added inspiration, which turned out to be an answer to a prayer. I had an opportunity to view a film by Charles and Ray Eames, which turned out to be one of my everyday miracles. The Power of Ten, the film takes us on an adventure in magnitudes. Starting at a picnic by the lakeside in Chicago, this famous film transports us to the outer edges of the universe. Every ten seconds we view the starting point from ten times farther out, until our own galaxy is visible only as a speck of light among many others. Returning to earth with breathtaking speed, we move inward, into the hand of the sleeping picnicker, with ten times more magnification every ten seconds. Our journey ends inside a proton of a carbon atom within a DNA molecule in a white blood cell. My metaphor for the Six Loves came to mind; the nucleus of the carbon atom has six protons and six neutrons dancing with each other. For my metaphor each pair of lovers represent one of the Six Loves, Agape, Storge, Philia, Eros, Primal-love and Self-love. Once again, I can clearly see the Omnipresence, Omnipotence and Omniscience within the least complex to the most complex universe. Our Creator created each expression of life in a way we must share with other expressions of life and sharing is love. The Power Within turns out to be love.
