260 Time Change

 260 Time Change

The time for change is always now – the only time there is – yesterday is but a memory and tomorrow is not yet a now.

With the time change (daily-light saving time) I am realizing how much of a prep-work habit I have. I need some realignment. Sometimes patience is a better sweet pill. I can report in the end its vine ripe fruit of patience is sweet and nourishing. We need to give ourselves time to work out the problems that realignment brings. I am reminded of a useful affirmation; my timing is absolutely perfect because I am on Your time, Father. My old addictive patterns kicks-in, like wanting the results I seek immediately if not sooner. The good news by knowing this old pattern I am reminded the insanity part will pass quickly, well sometimes quickly. I remember a great lesson given to me; anytime I am impatient it is because my judgment that this or that has no purpose or value, it is a waste of time and energy. Now I remind myself that everyone and everything brings me a gift. I have a gift for them and they have a gift for me. If I don't pay attention I will miss it, and have to learn the lesson later a harder way. I love the story of the Prodigal Son, the Self-righteous Brother and the Loving Father. I have been all three plus the silent invisible witness. "Filled with love and compassion, He [the father] ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him." Luke 15:20 It is possible by our Father’s grace that you and I can share here and now His love and compassion with all.

1. How do you react to the time change, any change?

2. What is the root cause of your impatience and how do you react to it?
