081 Who's Choosing

 081 Who’s Choosing?

In this world we have to make choices and when we don’t directly choose that is a choice. I have to make a choice this morning how I will spend my limited time on my prep-work. Writing this affirmation is important. My reading and writing is important. My prayer and meditation is important. My swimming is important. Keeping my office appointments on time is important. I tell myself if I had only gotten up on time I would not have this conflict in interest. The effectiveness of my decision depends on my Source or my "source". Can I simply trust that I am where I am, doing what I am doing, being with whom I am with for my Source’s purpose? My personal "reality’s" intention is to do our Father’s Will, but look who’s deciding? My morning prep-work has become a well-intended habit. My habit is an outline my personal "reality" thought as the right thing to do every day. If my outlined plan falls short the "drug; guilt and punishment" shows up as my source of choice. My experience tells me before this morning is over I will have learned my lesson that only a few things are really important. I will awaken to the Reality that our Father’s Love and Will is always being done. Worrying does not cause me to make the best choices. Trusting our Father with an abiding faith in His grace let's me detox from the "drug; guilt and punishment". I am given many opportunities to find out what is really important. My decisions’ effectiveness depends on my Source. Come let us choose to love one another. Thy Love, Thy Will be done.

1. When you make an important chose who is the source?

2. Do you let others make important choices for you?

Random Awakening

Al Kohallek asked his sponsor if he heard about the nine ever-day elements of love. Lou-is replied, when I came into the Program so many members of our group were reading a book written a longtime ago. The title was The Greatest Thing in the World, by Henry Drummond (1851 – 1897). He listed what many believed to be the greatest thing or good. In his judgment like Paul’s in 1 Corinthians 13 was love. I will share a little of my experience for each one of these elements of love for I believe our Program is a way of life and that life is love.
